Hip Hip Hooray!

Well, birthday season has been and gone for another year. We obviously didn’t think things through really well as myself and my three sons all have our birthdays in less than a month. Here are just a few of the happy snaps.

I was aiming for ombre sides with matching mini macarons. Lots of work when Mr 19 would have been happy with the simplest sponge.

Trying to get nineteen candles lit before the eager beavers beside me blew them all out…

I may not be making macarons for a while. Five colours, over 100 shells and a whole day’s work.

Mr 18's shop bought black forest cake saved me some effort.

and finally, lots of very happy five year old's enjoying the hospitality of Ronald McDonald!

So that’s it for us until April. Of course there’s Christmas looming large and puddings to prepare, but for now I have a few weeks to catch my breath.

Til next time,

Ana.

  1. Those desserts look scrumptious, especially the blue ombre-it’s almost too pretty to eat. Those macaroons…you’re quite the talented baker/pastry artist there! They’re gorgeous.
    Happy birthday!

  2. Wow you are amazing, those macaroons are superb!! You could sell those suckers – what a busy few weeks you’ve had! My boy is 4 soon, well a week before Xmas, but I’m not sure what to do – I don’t want him to miss out and not have anything? Maybe a Ronald visit also ? x

    • Em I really recommend Macca’s. They took care of everything including ice cream cake, games, face painting, prizes, and all for less than $15 per child. Plus there was the outdoor playground too. Right before Xmas must be crazy! xxx
