So. Flashback Friday.
I’ve been loving the flashback Friday fun on Instagram, so when Cathy over at The Camera Chronicles suggested a link up I was all for it.
What I really hoped to do for this post was raid the boxes of old photos at my parents’ house but I just didn’t have the time. I know that I could easily lose half a day sitting cross-legged in my mum’s walk-in robe, surrounded by albums and boxes filled with all our memories caught on film.
So what I have decided to do for this first flashback is to dedicate it to my life as a mum. After all, that’s what takes up most of my time, and is most often the focus of this blog. A word of warning though: any such photo’s will naturally include bad hair, bad clothes, lack of makeup knowledge, and judging by some of the pics I’ve seen, a disturbing lack of eyebrows.

Oh you want to know where I got that fantastic fringe cut? Why I did it myself, thanks for asking. Obviously my Morticia Adamms phase
I do realise that the last couple of photos aren’t that much of a flashback, so I will try not to be so naughty next time. And I promise it had nothing to do with wanting to balance all the bad pics with a better one. No, it’s because this flashback is about motherhood. I swear.
Hope you all enjoy the flashback fun. Make sure you check out the other blogs getting in on the fun, and I would love to hear what you think!
Ana.

I love it! In that first photo, you and your husband look so young!
Sometimes I think back to that time when I had my first baby. What a change!
I really enjoyed your flashback, will be looking forward to some more.
Thanks Kristy. Yes we were very young in the first photo! babies having babies as some people said. Time flies though, doesn’t it? And yes, how things change. It’s all good.
LOVE your photos Ana and thanks for being one of the first ‘linkers’! Sometimes we don’t have to travel all that far back to have a flashback
You’re a beautiful mum and I bet your kids will get a kick out of looking at these photos too. Must say your very first family photo is a gorgeous one!
Thanks Cathy, that first one I love because I remember how horrible I felt! Yet I still managed a smile. Thanks for kicking things off! I loved your post.
What nice photos, you have a lot to be proud of.
Thanks Chris
A trip down memory lane, just gorgeous, my fav is the one 10 minutes after birth – you are just glowing! Have a great Australia Day! Emily
Hi ya! Yes I love the after birth one too, loved the birth, loved all of it. I also like that particular babe best, but that’s okay. Everyone’s cool with it. And a very happy Australia Day to you also, cheers!
My scanner is on the blink so I had to work with photos on my hard drive – so that’s 2002 and forwards! Lovely photos – I didn’t even notice the eyebrows!
(that was one of the first things I noticed about my old pics too – where WHERE they?!)
Hi Kimba, believe it or not I have just this very second returned from visiting you at your blog! Thanks for having a look here, what can I say, the 90′s waged war on brows.
Such gorgeous pics
I look forward to reading more posts in the future xx
Thank you so much, thanks for visiting.
Aww, such beautiful photos. Time moves so quickly once kids on the scene, it is worth allowing yourself to ‘flashback’ to the recent past as well as the distant past and ‘smell the roses’ a little
Thanks, even with my youngest being four it has already flown by. Too too quickly
Such a happy mama you are!
Gorgeous photo’s and trip back in time to when you first became a mum
I had kids around a similar time. I had twin boys in 1992 and a daughter in 1995
xo
Thank you, and thanks for stopping by.
